High River Ag Society building wheelchair-accessible viewing platform

The rodeo grounds just became a little more accessible.

Thanks to a grant from the Calgary Foundation, the High River Ag Society has commissioned Ugly Decks Canada to build an accessible viewing deck at the west bleachers.

The grant was awarded to the Ag Society to help improve accessibility for wheelchair users.

With the new wheelchair-accessible viewing platform, spectators will have clear views of both the arena and the track, regardless of whether they purchase rush or bleacher tickets.

The new build includes a ramp, railings at an appropriate height and a slightly lowered front edge with a tabletop surface for guests to set down their food and drinks.
