About Us

ALBERTA

ABILITY

NETWORK

Alberta Ability Network (an initiative of Cerebral Palsy Alberta) is a collaborative of stakeholders, people with lived experience and those who support them, health practitioners, community advocates, and government that strives to:

  • Address systemic barriers facing persons with disabilities

  • Strengthen the disability sector

  • Influence policy and decision-making

Barrier-free Alberta initiative emerged from the Alberta Ability Network Human Rights table. We have one main purpose – to encourage the Government of Alberta to enact strong and effective accessibility legislation that will ensure every Albertan living with a disability has the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a complete and meaningful life.
